Healthy Environments in Action and Leadership (HEAL) is a peer support program led by staff and peer volunteers. The program is group-based, and focuses on broad issues, including alcohol and substance abuse, the coming out process, suicide, self-harm, homophobic and transphobic violence in our communities, and other topics of interest. Participants are encouraged to get involved with planning future topics of discussion, as well as activities and excursions taken on meeting days.
Healthy Living is a 6-week SAMHSA-funded educational discussion co-facilitated by LGBTQ Wellness and a clinician from Family & Children Services Adult Mental Health division. This group focuses on aspects of health and well being, including: the impact of media, triggers, communication skills, natural supports and resources, coping skills, and self-care.
